Dearest Readers,
Firstly, thank you very much for stopping by and taking the time to learn about my mission. I genuinely hope it speaks as much to your soul as it does to mine and I can count on your support!
Because I want this platform to be built on authentic human connection, I find it important that you, my readers, and I get to know each other! 😃
Therefore, every now and then, I’ll be sharing “get to know me” articles of which this one is the first!
✨Ok, let’s go! It’s a mix of basic info & “fun facts” ✨
1️⃣ I was born below sea level (and most probably, on a rainy day…)! That’s right! Though I consider myself a global citizen, I am a Dutchie at heart. 
2️⃣¡Hablo español mi gente! 
I speak fluent Dutch, English and Spanish. I learned Spanish during my time abroad in Barcelona (1 year) and Buenos Aires (10 months). ¿Quién más habla castellano, mis exploradores aventureros?
3️⃣ On the same note, Latin America has always been my favorite travel destination. I love the warmth of the people and the passion for food, music, dance and close relationships. My friends sometimes joke that I was born with a little Latina already inside of me. 💃
4️⃣ I like most fruits 🍊only when they have been juiced or mixed into another liquid. Yes, kind of like baby food. But hey – at least I’m getting my vitamins.
5️⃣ On October 21-10- ‘22 I joined the 30-club! And nope – I am not married, nor have any kids, so if you are turning 30 soon or are in your 30s and also haven’t built a “stable home” yet, don’t worry, you are not alone 🤗
6️⃣ I am a big animal lover! I am a dog mom, horse girl AND former WWF ranger. 🐼 Funnily enough, I also have an obscene number of animal-printed items, from floor rugs to clothing and toilet bags. Most of them are leopard-printed, because the leopard is my favorite animal.
7️⃣ I cannot sleep without a glass of water 💧 next to my bed. Here’s the irony: I ONLY happen to get thirsty when I’ve forgotten my bottle. Brains…
8️⃣ Speaking of brains; during my studies, I specialized in cognitive neuroscience. The senses were covered extensively in class – and I am very excited to now share that knowledge with you on this website. 🧠
9️⃣ Mother knows best! When I asked her which 5 adjectives she would pick to describe me, she mentioned easy-going, ambitious, open-minded, spontaneous & caring. Though surely indecisive, overly- pensive & frequently-late also came to mind. 🤪
🔟 Last but not least: I love wearing colored lipstick, especially red 💄. It makes me feel powerful and ready for any day! If you have got any good recommendations on a beautiful red, I would love to hear them!
